I found this book while I was doing my own comparative analysis of various media theorists that I was coming across. Siapera does a fantastic job of laying out all major thinking around “New Media.” In many ways, this book feels like it could be the textbook for an Intro to Media Theory class.
Some of the chapters were less interesting to me, but I appreciated the thoroughness and the (relatively) casual tone and prose. Academic writing can be exhausting to read, but this was much more digestibile.
I will continue coming back to this book as I write.
